Job Title: ERP Business Analyst

Compensation: $90k-110k

Department: Information Technology/ ERP

Reports To: Director of IT/Director of ERP Applications

 

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled ERP Business Analyst to serve as the bridge between our business operations and information technology systems. In this role, you will support and optimize our Infor M3 ERP platform, collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to document business requirements, analyze data using SQL, and drive continuous improvement initiatives. The ideal candidate combines functional ERP expertise with strong analytical capabilities and effective communication skills.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

ERP System Support & Administration

·       Serve as a subject matter expert and primary point of contact for the Infor M3 ERP system across business units including Supply Chain, Finance, Manufacturing, and Distribution.

·       Troubleshoot system issues, coordinate with vendors, and escalate critical incidents to ensure minimal business disruption.

·       Manage user access, roles, and permissions in alignment with internal security and compliance policies.

·       Support system upgrades, patches, and new module deployments including testing and validation.

Business Analysis & Requirements Gathering

·       Partner with department heads and process owners to elicit, document, and validate business requirements.

·       Translate business needs into functional specifications, process flows, and system configuration requests.

·       Conduct gap analysis between current-state processes and ERP system capabilities, recommending solutions and workarounds.

·       Facilitate workshops, stakeholder interviews, and working sessions to drive consensus on requirements and priorities.

Data Analysis & Reporting

·       Write and maintain SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from ERP and related databases to support business decisions.

·       Develop and maintain operational and management reports using Infor M3 reporting tools and external BI platforms.

·       Perform data audits and integrity checks to ensure accuracy and consistency across ERP modules.

·       Collaborate with the data team to define data standards and support data migration initiatives.

Process Improvement & Documentation

·       Identify opportunities to streamline and automate business processes through better utilization of ERP functionality.

·       Create and maintain comprehensive documentation including SOPs, user guides, configuration guides, and training materials.

·       Lead and participate in cross-functional process improvement projects, ensuring ERP alignment with evolving business needs.

Training & Change Management

·       Develop and deliver end-user training programs for Infor M3 and related tools.

·       Support change management activities during system enhancements and organizational transitions.

·       Act as a resource for end users, answering questions and providing ongoing guidance on ERP best practices.

 

Required Qualifications

·       Bachelor’s degree in information systems, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.

·       4+ years of experience as a Business Analyst, Systems Analyst, or similar role in an ERP environment.

·       Demonstrated hands-on experience with Infor M3, including navigation, configuration, and functional knowledge of at least one core module (e.g., Manufacturing, Distribution, Finance, or Procurement).

·       Proficiency in writing basic to intermediate SQL for data extraction and analysis.

·       Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a process-oriented mindset.

·       Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present technical concepts to non-technical audiences.

·       Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel and Visio (or equivalent process mapping tools).

 

Preferred Qualifications

·       Experience with Infor M3 version 13 or higher; familiarity with Infor ION, OS, or Ming.le preferred.

·       Knowledge of ERP modules such as MRP, Warehousing, Supply Chain Planning & Execution

·       Exposure to Business Intelligence tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or Infor Birst.

·       Familiarity with SDLC methodologies including Agile and Waterfall project frameworks.

·       Experience in Fashion (Footwear & Apparel) in Retail and Wholesale, distribution, or food & beverage industry environments.
